Our chef & co-owner, Jeff Graceffa , grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and is a
graduate of the New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, Vermont. He developed
a love for the Rocky Mountains of Colorado during a seven year ski bumming stint in
Alta, Utah, and Vail & Beaver Creek, Colorado. It was there that he completed his
internship & learned the pizza business at Beano’s Cabin, Tramonti (Beaver Creek), and
Pazzo’s Pizza (Vail). In that time, he fine tuned his art & discovered that his love of
pizza & skiing can coexist and flourish together.
Kyleena, Jeff’s wife and partner grew up in Williamsville, New York. At age 19 she
traveled to Italy to meet her relatives, who own a restaurant in Sicily. That’s when the
notion of owning her own restaurant came about. After graduating from the University
of Buffalo, Kyleena grabbed a backpack and, over the course of the next eight
years, traveled to over 62 countries. She eventually returned and ended up in Vail,
where she set about learning everything she could about running a restaurant.
Spending winters in Vail, working at Sweet Basil & the Game Creek Club and summers
in the Hamptons, New York working at Pino Luango’s Sapore Di Mare, and Gar Wood’s
in Lake Tahoe, California, she felt she had acquired the knowledge she needed to open
her own restaurant. She met Jeff in Vail where, after tasting his pizza, she fell in love
and decided that the two needed to join forces.
